Saturday was the perfect day to practice yoga outside as 850 yogis and yoginis took to their mats for the second annual Salutation Nation in Boston on the Common.
Salutation Nation is an annual, international day of yoga event held by Lululemon in which people from all over the world gather to practice one-hour complimentary outdoor yoga together outdoors at the same time. Lululemon Athletica created this event for the first time last year to share the gift of yoga and provide a unique outdoor space for community members to connect. Our goal is to share Salutation Nation with 100,000 people worldwide.
Our Boston region was led by Lynne Begier of Back Bay Yoga and owner of Sweat and Soul Yoga. She thought a Hip Hop Yoga class, and she was assisted by several other local yoga ambassadors. Before rocking out in Lynne’s class, Kevan Gale, director of Stil Studio and lululemon Legacy Place ambassador, lead us in a 15 minute beautiful meditation. Kevan is a PranaVayu yoga instructor, and has trained with David Magone! It was a gorgeous September day in Boston – blue skies, sunshine, and temperatures in the 70’s with no humidity. The feeling of love and community was amazing!
And the legs are up in the air for a nice Three-Legged Downward-Facing Dog!
Then Lynne made us shake our booties and it for few minutes we were all dancing together!
The Bow Pose. This pose is so called because it looks like an archer’s bow, the torso and legs representing the body of the bow, and the arms the string.
Look at this gorgeous One-Legged King Pigeon Pose. Great photo Dustin!
Savasana, a pose of total relaxation!
Holding hands.
It wouldn’t have been the same without few of my favorites ladies=)
The incredible leader of our Lululemon Athletica Natick, Leigh! She is just an inspiration and I feel so lucky to be in her team!
