Today is National Run at Work Day!
The Road Runners Club of America, the largest running organization in the country, has selected September 16th as the date for the sixth annual RRCA National Run at Work Day. The goal of the RRCA National Run@Work Day is to raise awareness about the importance of daily physical activity and healthy living for adults. RRCA says: ” If adults can lead by example, if companies can encourage healthy living through physical activity promotion, then together we can combat the national inactivity crisis gripping our nation and our children.” The Run@Work day events will be community based events that promote and provide the opportunity for people to incorporate at least 35 minutes of exercise into their daily routine either before work, during lunch or immediately following work. You might have heard this before but I’d like to repeat it one more time , incorporating exercise into the daily routine can clearly improve one’s overall physical health and can help alleviate health-related medical costs associated with overweight and obesity. I hope you are celebrating this great initiative today scheduling a run with coworkers during the day at work or planning a quick jog at the end of the day, maybe you planned on running to or from work too! After work you could lead a small group, zig zagging through neighborhoods and dropping runners off where they live as you make your own way home, how fun is that! You could do a post-work pub run, and hang around for a drink and pizza. In any case, if you’ve never tried it before today is the perfect excuse to give run commuting a try…ENJOY!

Saturday was a gorgeous day a perfect day for a run and for some yoga on the great outdoors. At 9 am I lead the 5th group training Run for the Team in Training Tufts 10K. We run run through the city to the North End and back to Back Bay and it was so much fun! After the group run, Dustin picked me up and together we headed over to the Boston Common to claim my spot for Salutation Nation. These are few of the girls of the TNT Boston team.

For Dustin the perfect dog is the one that tilts her/his head and that chase her/his tail. I am glad we found that in Luna, so my hubby is a happy camper=P

Thursday was my day off and it was time for some packing and some de-cluttering! For me the great thing about moving is getting rid of things you kept just because: ” I might use it one day.” Yeah right! I packed non-stop and Luna helped too! Every time that I would bend over to put stuff in boxes or pick up stuff she would come between my legs and start to kiss me like crazy…I think she was a little confused, she probably thought we were packing to go some where leaving her awwww cute love!
